Week of the 9th of February Review

Bad excuse I know guys I am sorry, but the last week has been a really shitty week. I started of positive on Monday morning and in the evening my friend and I hosted an Ann Summers party which resulted in a hilarious evening, afterwards we hit town and it was mostly fun. The next day however I was was a little hungover and because of something that had happened the night before I was in a shitty mood and questioning life and what the fuck I was doing. So tuesday was spent in a bad mood, wednesday I had work and then was persuaded to go out in the evening again, which took my thursday away as I was feeling somewhat queasy again and my foul mood just continued; I had 0 motivation for anything and got 0 uni work done and then went home on the weekend to work for my dad and was just shattered which didn’t help my mood. So whilst feeling crappy I admittedly didn’t give a shit about food, sometimes I ate good, other times I binged – C’est la vie! :/

Sporadic Posting

So when I started this blog I was posting very regularly but I’m finding it more and more difficult to do this as it is very time consuming. I know I only recently changed the way of posting to my blog, but I’m feeling that I need to change this again. I will try out a weekly summary blog post instead of constantly missing days and posting sporadically. If I have time I will post other things throughout the week, like maybe I will get round to posting recipes or something 🙂 I know once a week isn’t much so I will try and post more often if I can, but I will keep the food and fitness track to once a week. I will start this Monday onwards, so you will receive the first review post next weekend. Just thought I’d let you know of my plans. Have a nice Sunday!

Diary Day 82 / 83 – February the 4th & 5th

Sugar Intake: (food wise ok, but because of alcohol I went over by lots! :/ and I forgot to post this and can’t remember details now so just assume a lot)

Exercise: 10mins on cross trainer, 10ins on bike, weights (only a short session I know) / nothing on the 5th

Water Consumption: 500ml / 1200ml

Today I managed to get ready quicker than usual partly because I’d made lunch and packed my bags the night before already. It meant that I left the house earlier and had 20mins to spare before I started work so I could sit down and eat my banana and mixed nuts (almond, walnut & brazilnut) in peace with a cup of chamomile tea 🙂 For snack/lunch at work I had a salad with the leftover chicken that I couldn’t manage from my nandos yesterday and some salt and vines crisps and a diet coke.

After a longer shift at work it was off to uni and off to the gym. My friends and I then headed back to hers to get ready for town and begin our pre-drink session. For tea we shared some pepperoni pizza and some garlic bread, not the healthiest but our usual pre-night out food haha.

The next morning I made myself a yummy hangover breakfast, not that I was feeling hungover, but after a night out bacon is needed the next day!

My problem after a night out is, is that I am very lazy and often spend the next day sitting on the sofa stuffing my face; well my main food was healthy enough, tuna sandwich for lunch and green beans, potatoes with 2 veg sausages and gravy for dinner.

However the problem lies with the snack food and I couldn’t resist buying a pack of 4 caramel slices from Greggs when I got my lunch and am ashamed to admit I devoured those in two sittings, 2 after lunch and 2 in the afternoon! Oh dear! The good thing after a night out is, is that I am always super thirsty the next day and manage  to drink quite a lot in comparison to my usual little water consumption!

Diary Day 81 – February the 3rd

Sugar Intake: 29g

Exercise: (just the walk to and from uni)

Water Consumption: 600ml

Breakfast, 1 slice of toast with butter, 1 banana, 2 bacon rashers, cup of green tea (1g). Lunch, sandwich with ham, egg and salad and 2 cups of coffee. Snack, thai sweet chilli popcorn (11g shit I didn’t even look before) and a diet pepsi. Dinner, Nandos, the usual butterfly chicken with chips and corn on the cob, (but 15g because of sauce and Fanta, again I didn’t even think argh). Snack, cup of tea.

Argh so annoyed at myself, I was essentially doing well today, good breakfast and healthy lunch.  I was just chilling at uni really, I got some ideas down, had a tutorial and then a lecture. Afterwards my friends and I went to see Taken 3 and I even brought my own salted popcorn for the cinema as there is practically no sugar in it, however we stopped at poundland to get pop and then I got tempted to try the new sensations thai sweet chilli flavoured popcorn and so I bought some without even remembering to at least have a look at sugar content! After the cinema we went for a Nandos which again is technically ok, but I got a Fanta diet coke mix and the Fanta is of course full of sugar, just like the ketchup and mayo I ate with the chips, oh dear, again I just didn’t even think!

Also I was supposed to go to the gym after the cinema but I forgot we were going to Nandos and then when I got offered a lift home by my friends dad I gladly accepted because my stomach was causing me pain again. I swear down there is something in Nandos food that does not agree with me, I get a bad stomach 9/10 times after a Nandos! 😦 so bloated and stuffed I returned home with my tail between my legs! I can’t believe I haven’t gone to the gym yet! Tomorrow there is no excuse. I have work in the morning and then I’ll go to the  gym and shower before heading to my friends to start our pre-drink/getting ready session. I Wednesday is our nigh to go out and I need o discover more little sugar drinks that I like, because at the moment I am sticking to cider and cocktail like mixes :/ because I can only have about one glass of vodka diet coke/lemonade..

Right I’m shattered now, I am going to go to bed and get some reading done 🙂

Diary Day 80 – February 2nd

Sugar Intake: 11.3g

Exercise: 0 (unless you count a 40mins walking to and from work/uni – but I do that every day haha)

Water consumption: 400ml

So I had a pretty good day food wise  banana for breakfast, some crisps and almonds and tea for snack, ham and cheese sandwich for lunch, crackers and coffee for snack, a delish bacon salad for dinner and some more crisps and coffee for a movie snack!

However I was supposed to be going to the  gym and  I lazied out of it 😦  tomorrow I need to go!!!

Still Not Back On The Waggon!

Okay okay I really feel very annoyed at myself because even though I keep saying I will get back into the swing of things, I still haven’t!!! Yes there are some changes, like banana on toast for breakfast instead of jam, that I have made permanent (apart form the odd time I am home and have jam :/ ) and then I am still buying salted popcorn and low sugar crisps and a lot of my meals are healthy such as soup and just  sandwiches/toasties however – I have to many bad cravings in-between where I will buy chocolate or go out for food or on a night out and then alcohol comes into account – I try to have some sugar free drinks and bought some vodka and sugar free limeade however I can’t drink too much of that before feeling ill so I go to cocktail style drinks or wine and they are obviously not good!

I have also started back at the gym but keep not going. I had planned to go today for example but now I am sitting in uni waiting for a lift home with my friend and am writing this up instead. Wah where is my motivation gone to? I know sugar free gives results so why am I not continuing??

Ahh well, like I keep saying I know it’s all about the journey, but I am annoyed at myself for not being more persistent.

Sorry for another inspirational complaining rant – I will get there one day :3

Oops

So I haven’t blogged again – even though I was full of good intentions haha.

I was home over the weekend so no gym, but I did go on a nice walk around Durham on Saturday, but then also had a cheeky glass of wine (but only a small one). On Sunday I was working for dad again and did have a slice of cake after work :/ otherwise food was healthy and in not too big  a portion, oh although I also had a hot chocolate on Saturday and Sunday night :/

Monday was a busy day, work then off to a house viewing (we’ve found the house we want for next year-woo) then uni and then a super long house clean with everyone as  we had a house inspection yesterday. Food ok, banana for breakfast, I couldn’t stomach much more,  then  a flapjack :/ for break at work, tuna sandwich for lunch with a diet pepsi, and for dinner some potatoes and a bit of pesto with a large glass of water.

Yesterday was another busy day, work (and again only  had a banana for breakie, then a bacon toastie for break, tuna sandwich for lunch again, we had our first lecture for this term in the  afternoon, and then I started  my French class in the evening (I decided to keep up a bit of French by  doing a 10 credit module this term) afterwards I went for a bite to eat (chicken burger at wetherspoons) with my flatmate before finally going to see the new Hobbit (which I was sadly rather disappointed in). I only got back at about 12pm, so I am quite tired this morning.

Diary Day 70 – January the 23rd

Sugar intake: 8.4g

Exercise: 25mins cross trainer, 5 mins step machine, 10mins treadmill, leg weight machines: push out-6 sets of 10, press in-5 sets of 10.

Water consumption: 500ml

Another lazy start to the day – I love lazy starts haha,didn’t get much done this morning though apart from spending money on a case for my pretty new laptop. I had a yummy cup of coffee for breakfast and 2 slices of toast with butter and one large banana – I seriously am really appreciating this breakfast – I love it!!!

As a snack I had some fresh pineapple, but it wasn’t the best anymore 😦 I did eat a good half of it though over the course of the morning.

When it got to about 3ish I new I had to go to the gym straight away or I’d never leave the house, so I got dressed and left. My inner thighs were absolutely killing from working them out last session haha (it always hits 2/3 days later) but today’s session still felt good. I pushed for another 5 mins on the cross trainer, only having 2 30sec breaks inbetween. then tried another 5 mins on the step machine – god I hate that machine – and then finished with walking on the treadmill (I do not run, I hate running and at the moment it hurts my knees and I would collapse after 1minute, so not yet, but hopefully soon).  Also I really should have eaten something beforehand because after I finished my cardio I really was feeling rather queasy and had an upset stomach, so I had about a 20 min rest and then went back to do some weights before going home 🙂 My favourite leg machines are the two for your thighs, one where you press in and one where you push out; it really hurt today because I was still sore from last time, but I still got a good few sets done 🙂

In the evening I just relaxed and enjoyed a yummy bowl of soup

Diary Day 69 – January Day 22nd

Exercise: 0

Water Consumption: 500ml

I had a lazy start to the day before making it into uni at 12ish. I had planned to go to the gym, but I was too easily persuade not to go and stay in uni haha. Oh dear, at 4ish I left to go home and get ready for a concert. For Christmas I had invited my parents to a classical concert at the Sage 🙂 It was the Northern Sinfonia playing a selected works, some Mozart, Copland and Barber. It was a really nice evening, we hardly ever go to concerts so we all enjoyed it!

Diary day 68 – January the 21st

Sugar Intake: 7.5g

Exercise: 20mins on cross trainer, 5mins on stepmachine = 280 cal burned, some weights

Water consumption: 1l

Right sorry guys I know it’s been like two week since my last diary post! I admittedly just haven’t been trying hard enough, I’ve been sticking to my banana on toast breakfasts and healthy food mostly, but haven’t been sticking to low sugar drinks n nights out, and had some bad snacks such as some fudge at the cinema – so yes I have not lost any weight since Christmas I have been yoyo-ing up and down depending on good and bad days.

So once again, as you can see is my habit, here are my positive thoughts again and I hope as always that this time it will be a permanent continuation. I am back at the gym now though which is good 🙂 and yes I know I don’t go for long, only about 30mins on cardio and then weights, but every little helps.

I have been forgetting to take my supplements too, so I have started on the raspberry ketones and colon cleanse again too.
